Millersburg, Ohio — Lawrence David Ferrebee, 70, of Millersburg, Ohio, formerly of Wallback, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, in Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, one day shy of his 71st birthday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey C. “Perk” and Marie McClain Ferrebee; brothers, Paul Harold, John Ferrebee, and his twin, Larry Ferrebee; and sisters, Annie Lou Lyons and Carolyn Ferrebee.
A graduate of Clay County High School, Lawrence enlisted in the United States Marines and was deployed to Vietnam, where he was wounded and awarded a Purple Heart, along with several other merit awards. When his stint in the Marines was over, he enlisted in the United States Army for a two-year tour of duty.
He is survived by his daughter, Erica Lee Ferrebee of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Lee “Bud” Ferrebee of Bellevue, NE; sister, Hattie (Pat) Harrison of Lorain, Ohio; sister-in-law, Shirley Harold; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m., with service at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wallback immediately following the funeral.
