Birch River, WV – Ellis Rose, 94, of Birch River, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2013 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg. He was born August 12, 1919 the son of the late Lummie & Lena Rhodes Rose.
He was a printer for Williams Furniture and was a member of Mill Creek Union Church, Birch River.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lora Rose, daughters, Lena Lou Rose, Linda Simmons, brothers, Pearl Rose, Walter Rose, Shermin Rose, sister, Gaye Delong.
He is survived by his son, Garrel Rose & wife Connie Sue of Birch River, daughters, Wanda J. Jones & husband Carroll of Buchanan, VA, Edna Jones & husband Delmer of Ronoake, VA, Junedell Richardson & husband Danny of Dille, WV, Betty Jones & husband Roy of Martinsburg, WV, Connie L. Davis & husband Ronnie of Birch River, WV, Marjorie Gray & husband Mike of Barnsville, OH, 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 30 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 6, 2013 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with Rev. Bobby Harper and Rev. Tom Harper officiating. Burial followed in the Bill Rose Cemetery, Bays, WV. Friends called Saturday October 5, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
