Ellen “Jackie” Rose (Sears) Pierson, 83, of Clay, entered into rest Monday, January 7, 2019.
Born April 30, 1935 in Roane County, she was the daughter of the late Leonidas and Eva (Engle) Sears.
Jackie is survived by her husband, David “Bill” William Pierson of Clay, sons, David (Janeen) and Jerry Pierson, both of Clay, daughter, Terri (Wayne) Pierson of Geneva, FL, grandchildren, Erica Pritt Samples of Morgantown, Leslie (Allen) Goe of Clay, Joshua Pierson of Clay, Lacie (Bud) Pierson of Culloden, Benjamin (Candice) Pierson of Oak Hill, Cheyeanne Rose Childress of Granny’s Creek and Peyton Loving of Widen; great-grandchildren, Laikyn Jade Samples, Victoria Rose Samples, Lanie Jase Goe, Sterling Thomas Pierson Shadd; sisters Wilma “Billie” Robinson and Patty (Clifford) Jackson both of Clendenin; special to her, Scott Samples, Andy Mitchell and Jordan Hannah; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Friday, January 11, at Wilson-Smith Funeral Home, Clay with Minister Dennis Legg officiating. There will be no graveside service.
Friends gathered with family two hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
