Elizabeth Walls, 78, of For Oglethorpe, GA, formerly of Clay, entered into rest Tuesday, September 11, 2018, after a long battle with Lewy body dementia.
On November 18, 1939 in Kermit, WV, she was the daughter, of the late Burley and Stella (Pack) Spaulding. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Walls; brother, Thurmond and sister, Sharon.
She was the oldest of ten children.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Ronald Walls of Frametown and David Walls of Clay; daughter, Sheila Shackleford or Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Austin Buford of GA, Ron Walls of Ripley, Kelli Eagle of Nitro, Brittney Boggs of Elkview, Alyssa Neal of St. Albans, David Walls of Clay, Timmy Shackleford and Katie Leamon both of TN; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye, Barb, Alta, Debbie, Rhonda, Connie and Jodie.
She was also a grandma to many children throughout her life; she will be missed and loved by all who knew her. A special thanks to Pruitt Health in Fort Oglethorpe for the care she received in her final days.
A funeral service was held Sunday, September 16, at Wilson-Smith Funeral Home, Clay. Burial followed in Walls Cemetery, Reed Fork.
