Ivydale, WV – Earl Glen McCune, 87, of Ivydale passed away peacefully at his home on March 1, 2014. He was retired from Clay County Schools and was a member of the Big Otter Baptist Church . He was also a fifty-year plus member of the Clay County Masonic Lodge A.F & A.M. # 97 and was active in other local organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Erma, a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Roger Rice of Elyria, Ohio , son and daughter-in-law Boyd and Gina McCune of Charleston , and son, Roger of Parkersburg. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Charles McCune of Lorain, Ohio and a sister, Janet Canfield of Harrison.
Funeral services were held 1:00 PM Thursday March 6, 2014 at Wilson Shamblin Smith Funeral Home Clay, WV . Burial followed at Clay Memorial Gardens with the Minister Dewey Tanner officiating.
