Dylan Cole Grose, 19, of Big Otter, went to his heavenly home on November 29, 2018, due to a tragic car accident. He was a graduate of Clay County High School and was employed by Blue Flame Pipeline. He attended Nebo Baptist Church.
Dylan lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed football, Jeeping, 4-H camp, and beating his friends at various video games. He loved singing for Jesus.
He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and a friend to all that knew him. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his mother, Shella Cross and Jim Sears of Big Otter, father and stepmother, Jason and Racheal Grose of Looneyville; siblings, Gracyn and Lawson Grose, and Taylor “Tyler” Sears of Big Otter, and his brother, by choice, Drew Belt of Nebo; his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Mary Cross of Chloe, and his paternal grandparents, Troy and Hazel Grose of Gassaway and Jeff Rider of Clay. Also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great– grandparents Okey and Locie Morris of Chloe and Jeff and Hilda Moore, his paternal great– grandparents Woodrow and Lula Cutlip, and his paternal grandmother Dottie Rider.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, at Nebo Baptist Church in Nebo. Burial followed at in his family cemetery at Chloe.
The viewing was held Wednesday, December 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Shamblin Smith funeral home in Clay.
