Charles Gaynell Nichols, 90, of Columbus, Ohio entered into rest on January 19, 2021.
Charles graduated in 1948 from Clay County High School. He was retired from the US Air Force and owned the Charles G. Nichols Accounting, the Tax Preparation and Filing, in Grove City, Ohio.
He was the son of Woodrow and Perdetia Nichols of Clay, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Phillip Larry Nichols, Woodrow D. Nichols, Delanor W. Nichols Sr., and David M. Nichols. He was also preceded in death by two sister-in-laws, Mary and Norma, and three nephews, Richard, Jeffrey, and Freddie II.
He is survived by his son, Kelvin Lee Nichols of Lima, Ohio; three granddaughters, Linda, Dorothy, and Michelle. He is survived by his sister, Linda Hunt (Gene) of Charleston, WV; brothers, Freddie J. Nichols Sr. of Ida, LA, and Robert J. Nichols (Janie) of Pinch, WV; four nieces and six nephews, 30 great nieces and nephews, and 17 great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held in the Newton Nichols Cemetery, Blue Knob, WV on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11 a.m.
