Calvin Ellsworth Hyer, 94, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 at his home in Hoover, AL.
Cal was preceded in death by his father, O.O.”Buck” Hyer; mother, Icie McCracken Hyer; and sister, Mary Hyer Cupp.
Cal is survived by his wife of 70 years, June Shinn Hyer; son, Bruce Edgar Hyer (Cathy); daughter, Stephanie Hyer Rubens (Fred); five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Hyer Cemetary on O›Brion Creek on July 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM, followed by a reception at the home of Bruce and Cathy Hyer.
