Clay, WV – Bessie McClung, 85, of Clay, entered into rest Monday, September 14, 2015.
Born January 3, 1930 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Jessie (Burdette) Santee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband Willie H. Collins and sons, Lester Collins and Kenneth R. Collins.
Bessie is survived by her husband, Virgil McClung of Clay; sons, Willie “Rusty” Collins of Savannah, GA, Franklin Collins of Ovapa, Anthony Collins of Ansted, daughters, Dessie Chandler of FL, Freeda Ezelle of S.C., Cindy Holt of Liberty KY, Carol McDonald of Tampa, FL and Sandra Hackney of FL; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson and sister, Pearl Schaffer.
Funeral service was held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, with Minister Rocky Osborne officiating. Burial was in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay.
