Norton, OH – Audrey “Tootsie” Marie Kornacki (nee Vaughan), 60, of Norton, Ohio, passed away on July 13, 2015, after a heart attack. She was born in Gassaway to Billie O. Vaughan and Glenna Tanner, and raised in Clay County, West Virginia.
How do you describe a woman who meant so much, and was so many things, to so many people?
She was a hillbilly of sorts, with bare feet and roots deep in the earth. She hated wearing a bra or shoes. She never judged or turned away a person in need, for she was a true Child of God in all the right ways. She loved her family and friends from the depths of her soul. Tootsie loved working the hay fields with her husband, Dennis, and nephew, Roger Jr. (RJ), woodworking, crafting, sewing, dancing with Dennis, and spending time with those dear to her.
Tootsie leaves behind her husband, Dennis; children, Billy (Victor Murdock), Valerie (Patrick Zuraw), Denise (Jerry Nolz), and Scotty; her mother Glenna; and siblings Susan and Roger Sr. (Patricia) Vaughan, and many brothers, sisters, and children of the heart.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara; her father, Billie and her grandparents.
At this time, no services are being held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a continued donation of time, money, or service to those in need. The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family.
