Andrea Nichole Holcomb, 43, of Bickmore, West Virginia, won her final prize on November 2, 2020 when she went to be with her Saviour. Instead of focusing on the difficulties during her two-year battle with cancer, she chose to see and embrace God’s love, strength, and grace through each trial. She used every possible moment to be a blessing to others, inspiring them about the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Andrea was blessed with a large and loving family. She has been married to her best friend, Craig Holcomb, for over twenty-four years, who was her provider, protector, and rock. Together, they were blessed with two amazing children, Bethany, who was her first best friend (along with husband, Hunter Tanner), and Elijah, her entertainer and her heart. She was a committed wife and mother, dedicating herself to being who she knew the Lord called her to be.
She is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Darius and Pam Holcomb, and grandpa Norval Acree, along with three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeremy (Jenny), Stephen (Sara), and Anthony (Samantha). She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Larry and Denice Holcomb, brother and sister-in-law, Justin and Sarah, and several nieces and nephews that she loved to love on.
Andrea was a woman who will be remembered as someone who always used her time to uplift other with her unwavering faith, offer a smile, create beautiful crafts, give a loving embrace, present a witty comment, or provide a helping hand. She always encouraged others with the words of God such as her favorite verses, Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths,” as well as through her favorite song, “It is Well With My Soul.”
Andrea will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 P.M.
Her family asks that Andrea be remembered for her smile, love, grace, and to honor her, spread the word of the love of Jesus and the sacrifice He made so we could all be in Heaven on day, where she is waiting.
