Clay, WV – Amos Adkins, 65, of Clay, entered into rest Thursday, February 5, 2015 after a short illness.
Born October 23, 1949, in Charleston, he was the son of the Phyllis (Paxton) Adkins of Summersville and the late Burl Adkins.
He was an Army Veteran and a retired coal miner.
Amos is survived by his wife, Linda Adkins, sons, Jason Adkins, Shawn (Brittany) Adkins, Daniel Ryan Adkins all of Clay, daughter, Michelle Dziak of Cleveland, OH, brothers, Bobby (Violet) Adkins, Johnny (Carolyn) Adkins, Kenny Adkins, Randy Adkins all of Summersville, grandchildren, Daniel Belt, Adelia Belt, Eric Krise, Taylor, Skylar Liam and Conor Adkins.
Service was held 7:30 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, with Minister Wayne Litton officiating. Friends called from 6:00 P.M. to service time.
