Huntsville, AL – Nanny “Macel” (Bullard) Paxton, 81, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at home following a lengthy illness.
She was a warm and caring person whose family was the center of her world.
Macel was born in Granny’s Creek, West Virginia, October 18, 1932; the daughter of Harley and Ona (Hunt) Bullard, who precede her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, David Paxton, Sr. ; sons David Paxton, Jr. and Paul Paxton; daughter Glenna (Jean) Jones and husband Jerry; grandparents; brothers Coy Dennis Bullard and wife Bonnie, Russell Richard Bullard, and Larry Gene Bullard; sister Rosemary Beckett and husband Loy Richard Beckett; brother-in-law Carl Hamrick, niece Barbara (Bullard) Connor; and great-nephew Joshua Hartzell.
Macel is survived by two sisters; Virgie “Olive” Hamrick, Whitesville, WV., and Mona (Sam) Haid, Elkview, WV.; grandchildren Christopher Paxton, Rachel Paxton, Jerry “Jay” Jones,Jr., Melissa Jones, and Jesse Paxton, all of Huntsville, AL.; great-granchildren Payton, Bryson, and Alisa; sisters-in-law Janice Bullard, Clyde, Ohio and Diana Bullard, Norwalk, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
