The track team is running their way into the history books, and this seems to be the best year that the team has had yet. They ran at the Nicholas County Invitational, and it has to be noted that Trevor Armes is still making a name for himself as one fast runner. He came in first place in the 400 meter run with a personal best time of 50.76. The 4×400 team placed second with a team best of 3:43:02. Friday at the Capitol City Classics, Trevor Armes and Robert Daniels placed 5th and 11th against all the AAA runners at the meet. David Tanner ran the 1600 meter and had a new personal best at 5:15:06. The 4×400 relay team placed second once again with a time of 3:40:02. It was on to the Lindsey Mann Memorial. Trevor Armes placed 4th in the 200 meter, 2nd in the 400 meter and first in the 800 meter dash. Robert Daniels won 3rd in the 200 meter and 5th in the 400 meter. Brandon Daniels took 3rd in the 3200 meter run. Ryan Burdette took 4th in the 110 meter high hurdles, 4th in the 300 meter low hurdles and 6th in the discus. Mark Murphy was 5th in the high hurdles. The speedy 4×200 relay team took first place, and also took first in the 4×400 relay. Michael Rhodes took 3rd in the shot put, and Shane Bonura took 4th in the shot put. The Panthers have very few meets left in their season before the state finals, so if you want to see some of the best runners in action head to a track meet before their season is done.
