Perhaps the road you travel is filled with twists and turns. Maybe you find many intersections that present choices to be made. It could be that you find yourself dodging many potholes and bumps along the way. It seems that life is filled with these challenges. Add to that dark midnight hours, winds of adversity and storms on the horizon and it’s easy to see that we need help if our journey is to be successful.
Who knows what new adventure lies around the next curve. Where will the choice we make at the next intersection lead us? We don’t always know what is coming and we don’t always know how to handle it. However, I have some good news for you. God loves you. He wants you to have life more abundantly. If you have received Him you have His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Many are the promises He has let along the road you travel if you are in a covenant relationship with Him.
Still, there are challenges and uncertainties ahead. I don’t know what lies ahead for you but I do know this. God wants you to be prepared to meet them head on and come out the other side victorious. There may be a battle to be fought but it is one God wants you to win. Listen to what He says about the child of God. Ro 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. That is telling us that God wants us to be a winner. You may have to fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim. 6:12) but you do not stand alone. Now look at Ps 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Do you fear God enough to serve Him and be faithful to His will and His word? Ps 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Those are wonderful promises, but, to whom is God speaking? Who is in that relationship that brings a quick and sure response from God?
If you are truly a servant of the Lord, Satan will surely do all he can to destroy you but God has already made a decree concerning you. As you read it, take hold and believe it and trust God. Don’t wait till the battle is raging but give God praise now. Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. God doesn’t change and this is His word. You have two choices. Believe and trust God or take the other road and see where it leads. Your choice. One last scripture for you to ponder. Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hallelujah!
