Dixie, WV – Charles James Tucker, 76, of Dixie, went home to be with his family on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
Born November 26, 1939 in Mt. Olive, to the late James and Nina (Thompson) Tucker. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Charley was a retired iron worker and help build the subway system in Washington, D.C.  He had a love for people and the outdoors and never met a stranger.
Charley leaves behind two sons, Kevin James “Chip” Tucker of Mt. Nebo and James Tyler Chechele of Dixie; two daughters Terri Lilly of Rock, WV and Nannette Hages of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren, Jordan Blake Tucker, Kenyon Bryce Tucker, Ethan Cole Tucker, Joey Frederick, Lynn Frederick; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Jodee, Jacob, Donanie Jo, Aryah and Landon.
Funeral service was held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Hughes Creek Community Church, Hughes Creek, with Minister Gary Tucker officiating.  Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bower Hospice House 456 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV, 25801.
