New River Community and Technical College’s Practical Nursing Program is now accepting applications for the fall 2016 class. Once accepted, students are able to earn their practical nursing certificate in just 11 months.
With newly installed equipment and state of the art simulation labs, the program offers the ability to learn clinical skills in a safe and nonthreatening environment.
“This program is challenging and rewarding for students who hope to work in the health care industry. Our faculty have extensive professional experience. The curriculum is designed to teach the most current information and procedures required to be successful on the job,” said JoAnna Perry, Director of the Practical Nursing Program at New River CTC.
The application deadline for the program has been extended until 4 p.m. on April 29. An additional HESI testing date will be provided for those students who have applied after February 17, 2016.
The Practical Nursing program is offered at the Greenbrier Valley Campus, Nicholas County Campus, and Raleigh County Campus.
