Elk River Boxing Club participated in the Hometown Heroes Multi State Championship in Charleston WV. Brett Murphy from Elkview WV represented Elk River Boxing Club in the Welterweight Division. Friday night Brett defeated Joseph Torres of Kentucky via decision. Sunday night Brett faced Servando Ayala from Georgia. Brett lost via split decision and received the Silver medal in his division .
