Wallback, WV – Andrew “Bud” Ferrebee, 84, of Wallback, passed away at his home Monday, January 18, 2016 after a long illness.
Born on August 14, 1931 in Wallback, he was the son, of the late Howard and Audrey (Summers) Ferrebee. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his children, David Ferrebee and Debra Ferrebee; brothers, Earl “Jim”, William “Paul” and Orvis “OC”; sisters, Anna Davis, Almeda “Bea” Burdette and Virginia “Jenny” Blankenship; two loving granddaughters, Stephanie Ferrebee and Tammy Ferrebee.
He was a retired bus driver for Clay County Development Corp and Wilson Funeral Home.
He met many people in and around Clay County and formed friendships where ever he went. Bud was always willing to help the elderly and lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Agnes Ferrebee of Wallback; children, James “Jimmy” of Daytona Beach, Fla; Candice (Dale) Hutchinson, Linda (George) Moore, all of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; Jana (Earl) Elliott of Lizemores, Timothy “Tim” (Tina) of Wallback, Richard (Debbie) of Maysel, David Allen of Duncannon, PA, Robert of Maysel, Charles (Bridgett) of Ravenna, KY., Christa Ferrebee of Nebo; brothers and sisters, David “Cookie” of Speed, Woodrow “Dickie” (Patsy) of Swandale, Helen Cottrell and Jane Burkhamer, both of Wallback; Basil “BJ” (Jessie) of Pigeon; 37 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Earl Elliott officiating. Burial was in Summers/Ferrebee Cemetery, Wallback.
