After many long years of driving across a wooden bridge that has been in very bad shape, the residents across the creek from the baseball fields and the new lodge in Dundon will be getting a new bridge soon. The bridge there provides access to the homes of residents and for those who like to take a drive through the woods or hit some swimming holes during the hot summer days. According to T.J. Legg, supervisor at the Clay County Division of Highways detachment, after inspection of the old bridge, it was determined that a new bridge was certainly needed. Legg said that a private contractor from Ohio is working on the bridge and that the bridge is to be finished in early summer.
