The last county commission meeting for 2015 was short and quick. After the previous minutes, bills and purchase orders were approved, the commissioners proceeded with the action items. The “request of waiver of final settlement” for the estates of Larry Allen King, Bethel C. Nichols, Troy Pegas Neff and Tina Marie Whitt, deceased, was approved. Then, the “final settlement” report for the estate of Bessie B. McClung, deceased and the discharge of Virgil McClung, Administratrix was approved. Brenda G. Grose, Administratrix of the Estate of Pebble Gay Adkins, deceased was approved. The appointment of Kathy P. Taylor, Administratrix of the estate of David Preston Taylor, deceased was approved.
The commission then approved the Clay County Health Department record of change for Clay County Emergency Operations Plan, annex G: Health and medical. The plan is the same as before, just an update of names and positions. Helen Marie Hanshaw as Tax Deputy effective December 31, 2015 was approved. Jeana Rounsville’s employment as Tax Deputy, effective January 1, 2016 at the rate of $1,647.00 per month was approved. Beverly King, Clay Ambulance Service Director’s request to increase the ambulance service employee’s rate by .75cents per hour was approved. Jordan Brown’s employment was approved as a part-time, as needed dispatcher for Clay Co. E911 communications center at the rate of $10.00 per hour pending successful completion of back-ground check and drug screening. Tina Coleman was approved for hire as a temporary part-time, as needed EMT-B at the rate of $9.00 per hour effective December 23, 2015 without benefits, pending successful completion of a background check and drug screening test. The commissioners then approved a motion to continue to January 4, 2016 at 10:00 to organize for a new year, review Billie Jane Zegeer’s report and award contract for timber sale.
