The CCHS Lady Panthers hosted Braxton and Gilmer counties this past Thursday night. The Lady Panthers had a tough week last week and were not going to let that happen again. The Lady Panthers were well prepared for the game and made very few mistakes which, in the game of volleyball, usually determines the fate of a team. All the Lady Panthers look as though their skills are set, oiled, and greased for the up and coming Sectionals where they must place first or second in order to continue to the Regional competition coming soon. They will have one more regular season game at Charleston Catholic on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. The LKC and Sectionals are yet to be announced. They have worked hard to get to this point and have the prospects of going far. We wish them well on their pursuit of the State Championship. The team bid a fond farewell to four seniors, Lydia Schoolcraft, Emily Wynn, Isabelle Haverty, and Stefani Duffield, all of which has played the game of volleyball this year and have taken their positions to outstanding levels. Their positions will be tough to fill and they will be remembered as some of the finest on the floor. Congratulations to all of the players and only the best of wishes in the future. Let’s get them Lady Panthers!
