Clay County Gun Show, October Friday Oct. 23, Saturday, Oct. 24, Sunday, Oct. 25; 300 Center Street (Old State Road Garage)
Table Rental $15 by October 22, $20 after Oct. 22; Mail checks to: Clay County BDA, PO Box 57, Clay, WV 25043 or visit claywvbda.org and click “dontae”; overnight security. Vendor Set Up – Noon Friday. Doors open to the public: Friday 3 pm to 9 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday 9 am to 3 pm. Admission is $5. 12 and under free with paying adult. There will be Door Prizes Daily, BBQ and Hotdogs will be sold. For more information please call 304-587-4166.

The AARP Driver Safety course for drivers age 50 and up is being offered at the Valley Fork Center, Wallback, on Thursday, October 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will learn defensive driving techniques and proven safety strategies as well as new traffic laws and rules of the road. Completion of the course may qualify for an auto insurance discount. Registration Fee is $15.00 for AARP members, $20.00 for non-AARP members. No testing or driving is involved and certification is valid for 3 years. You do not need to be an AARP member or have “AARP” Insurance to take this valuable course. The October ArtBeat of Clay workshop is scheduled for Friday the 23rd at 7 pm and will be “Coffee with Quincy”.   Quincy Potasnik Mitchell will be instructing a painting class at the Axys Coffee Shop at 282 Main Street in Clay.  The cost is $25 prepaid and $30 at the door.  The price includes all supplies for the workshop and a full selection of hot, iced or frozen coffee provided by the coffee shop.  Call 587-7527 for details or to make a reservation.

Coonhunters – UKC Licensed Night Hunt and Bench Show, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Clubhouse at the Top of Dundon Hill starting at 5:00pm. This will be a memorial hunt with trophies for high scoring dog, best of show, and treeing contest. Everyone Welcome!! Questions call 304-651-0820

Big Otter Elementary 5th grade class is having a craft bazaar on November 7 from 8am to 4pm. A lot of venders will be selling various items and we will selling hot food and baked goods. West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance announces regularly scheduled visits to Braxton, Clay, Nicholas and Webster counties for the month of October. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church has services every Sunday morning at 10:00 am, singing, preaching, praying and praising the Lord. The Lord blesses the service in a great way.
