The AARP Driver Safety course for drivers age 50 and up is being offered at the Valley Fork Center, Wallback, on Thursday, October 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will learn defensive driving techniques and proven safety strategies as well as new traffic laws and rules of the road. Completion of the course may qualify for an auto insurance discount. Registration Fee is $15.00 for AARP members, $20.00 for non-AARP members. No testing or driving is involved and certification is valid for 3 years. You do not need to be an AARP member or have “AARP” Insurance to take this valuable course. The October ArtBeat of Clay workshop is scheduled for Friday the 23rd at 7 pm and will be “Coffee with Quincy”. Quincy Potasnik Mitchell will be instructing a painting class at the Axys Coffee Shop at 282 Main Street in Clay. The cost is $25 prepaid and $30 at the door. Big Otter Elementary 5th grade class is having a craft bazaar on November 7 from 8am to 4pm. A lot of venders will be selling various items and we will selling hot food and baked goods.
