The Braxton County Senior Center is pleased to congratulate those participants who completed the Bible study entitled “A Study of Faith’s Hall of Fame” taken from the Book of Hebrews Chapter 11. We began this 13 week course on the 31st of March. Although it was designed to be a 13 week course, we took longer because it was so interesting, and we were blessed with class participation.
Those completing this study were Lorene Cogar, Mildred Wine, Trula Venetucci, Todd Ward, Maxine Marlow, Nina King; David Cutlip, Tom Propst, D. Ray Baughman, and class facilitator Mary Stewart.
Beginning the first week of September we will begin a new Bible study entitled “Journey into Discipleship”. This study is designed to be a 26 week study. It will cover many topics, including the way of Salvation, the Holy Spirit, How to get a firm grip on the Bible, How to know your sins are forgiven, and many more. Seniors are invited to come and study with us on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am. We meet in the Arts and Crafts room at the Senior Center. Work books and Bibles are provided for class use.
Should you have need of transportation to attend this event or others at the Senior Center, you are encouraged to call Wilma Bly at (304) 765-4090 to make arrangements to be picked up if you live on one of the transportation routes.
