An early morning accident leaves one man hospitalized and Route 4 blocked for hours. Around 6:30 am on Monday, a driver was on his way to work when a tree fell from the hillside onto his vehicle. The truck received substantial damage and the driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Department of Highways workers and emergency officials worked for several hours to remove the large tree from the roadway and reopen the highway.
