The season has ended for the CCMS Mustang baseball team who waged a war on the diamond this year. As a team, they finished with 9 wins and only 2 losses. The eighth graders that have been with the team for three years have a 30- 6 record overall. There unfortunately isn’t a championship game at the middle school level, but if there were, the CCMS Mustangs would be first in line for the trophy. They finished their season with a win over Spencer Middle School. It would prove to be a tough last game as the Yellow Jackets jumped out in the lead early in the game and seemed like they would hold onto it. Late in the game, the Mustangs uncased the whipping sticks, and in the final inning pulled out a 7-6 win. It has been a great year for the team once again, and congratulations go out to the players and the coaches for proving once again that CCMS sports are the ones to beat.
