Big Otter Elementary welcomed Tony Coffman, businessman and owner of Coffman’s Metals in Birch River. Mr. Coffman spoke to the fifth grade classes about recycling steel, aluminum, and various other recyclables. He also discussed the importance of caring for our environment when digging up roots and plants such as ginseng, yellow root, and May flower. The students enjoyed a question and answer session with Mr. Coffman as well.
