Gilmer County, WV – Tony Allen Keen age 43 of Upper Horn Creek Road, Gilmer County, West Virginia departed this life suddenly Wednesday afternoon December 10, 2014.
Born February 17, 1971, in Clay County, West Virginia, son of Shirley Reger, who lives in Clay County and the late Stanley Keen.
Tony worked in the oil fields as a laborer. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, and spending time with his grandkids. He liked to work on vehicles, playing video games, singing, and playing the guitar.
On August 17, 2008, he was united in marriage to Norma Shaffer Keen, who survives at their Horn Creek home.
Surviving are 2 step-children, Caryl McPherson of Sutton, WV; and Sherman Lee McPherson of Huttonsville, WV; 5 brothers, Johnny, Ronnie, Stephen, Stanley and Bill Keen, 1 sister, Ruth Windam, and 1 step-brother, Sammy Snyder.
There are also 8 grandchildren surviving, Jacob McPherson, Shaniea McPherson, and Hunter McPherson of Sutton, WV; Shane Lee McPherson Michael McPherson, and Joshua King of Mt. Nebo, WV; Valarie Salisbury of Birch River, WV; and Austin McKinney of Flatwoods.
Along with his father, Tony was preceded in death by 1 step son, Fred S. McPherson Jr., 1 brother, William Keen, and 1 step-brother, Ralph Snyder.
At the request of Tony, his remains will be cremated and the family will have graveside services at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 to help cover funeral expenses.
