WVU Braxton/Clay Master Gardeners recently gathered on Sept. 24, 2026 at the Adopt-A-Spot location near the Nottingham Bridge, Duck, WV in Clay County.
At this cleanup, the group gathered five large bags of trash/debris plus a tire. This gathering corresponds with the REAP program through the Dept. of Highways. The Clay DOH is so accommodating and appreciates the volunteers. Being able to help leave areas better than they were is a strong statement.
The group has been gathering trash at this location for over five years. They enhance its beauty as travelers can approach a parking area for the Elk River Trail.
