National Public Lands Day event happening at the Elk River Trail Trailhead & Visitor Center in Dundon (Clay) on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Cody Baird with West Virginia State Parks is leading this year’s event, and they are excited to be back on the trail working with us! The event will focus on community stewardship and ecological restoration, with volunteers participating in invasive species removal and a native wildflower seed-ball station. The seed-ball station will be a seated, fully accessible activity, making the event welcoming to participants of all ages and ability levels.
