Gilmer County players and parents blew into town Saturday and took on the mighty little league Panthers on the newly renovated Bradley Field. Gilmer didn’t have an A team or a Flag team so B team and C team went at it tooth and nail amid the cries of the fans and the cheerleaders. Flag football had a scrimmage among each other and played their hearts out. It was an all-out takeover as the Panther C team rolled to a victory outscoring the Gilmer team 27-7. The Panther offensive line rolled over Gilmer, opening holes big enough for a car to fit through, and the running backs definitely used them. The Panther B-Team also took down the tough Gilmer B team in a defensive battle by the score of 6-0.
This was a game which will be talked about over dinner tables everywhere. It was truly a war with the flag team as they battled each other like it was a new Brave Heart movie. They are the future of this county, and it would do you good as football fans to come out and support them. These players are just as dedicated as a college team and want to win just as much. So, if you want to see football played with raw emotion, come to a CCPIF game where it is all or nothing.
