Bickmore, WV – Jimmy G. Taylor, 48, of Bickmore, entered into rest on August 4, 2014, at his residence.
Born on March 15, 1966, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Jimmy Taylor, Sr. and Phyllis Jean (Schoolcraft) Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Chessie Irine (Triplett) Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Taylor of Bickmore; brothers, Joshua Harvey Taylor and Joseph Taylor, both of Hartland; sister, Rebecca (Herbert) Taylor of Adonijah; sons, Joshua (Kelly) Taylor of Glasgow, Ralph (Casey) Taylor of Summersville, Mark (Nancy) Mitchen of Ivydale, Brian (Jadia) Mitchen of Ivydale, and Jacob Mitchen at home; daughters, Terri Campbell of Clay, Debra (Harold “Benji”) Stewart of Indore, and Amanda (Tommy) Durant of Buckhannon; daughter-in-law, Misty Taylor of Clay, and his grandkids, which were his pride and joy and the center of his life, Jennifer, Michael, Jamie, Xavior, Tommy and Serina.
He was an avid hunter and loved going fishing with his family and anything that had to do with being outside or in the woods. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather and friend; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Funeral service was 11am Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Ralph Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery, Beechy Ridge.
