Big Otter Elementary School welcomed a generous act of community service on Monday, Mar. 23, as two licensed beauticians, Hannah Schoonover and Casie Boggs, along with barber Josh Nine, volunteered their time and talents to provide free haircuts to students.
Over the course of four hours, the trio completed an impressive total of 58 haircuts, ensuring that participating students left feeling confident and refreshed. The service was offered at the request of both students and their parents, helping meet a practical need while also boosting student morale.
This successful event was made possible through the coordination of Save the Children representatives Mrs. Holcomb and Ms. Loretta, in partnership with Communities in Schools, led by Mrs. Claytor. Their collaboration ensured that the event ran smoothly and reached the students who would benefit most.
Big Otter Elementary extends its sincere appreciation to the volunteers and organizers for their dedication to supporting students and strengthening the school community. Their efforts made a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of many children.
