The Elk Conservation District (ECD) has scheduled its annual fruit tree and plant sale for Mar. 20 and 21. The ECD is proud to host the tree sale each year in the spring to provide healthy bare-root trees, plants, and seedlings for gardeners in the district. The selection for the year consists of peach, apple, and cherry fruit trees, pine tree and spruce seedlings, dogwood and serviceberry tree seedlings, and Christmas fern shrubs, and red raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry plants as well as rhubarb. The trees and plants are delivered to the district office directly from various nurseries and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-sale orders are currently being taken. Those interested in purchasing may contact the office at 304-765-2535 or email ecd@wvca.us and provide their mailing address for an order packet. Pre-sale orders will be taken until Mar. 9, 2026. Pickup locations are in Braxton, Nicholas, Clay, and Webster Counties.
