Seville OH – Roscoe L. Starcher, 84, of Seville, Ohio passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, Ohio. At his passing, he was surrounded by his wife and family.
Roscoe was born November 1, 1929 to John and Elizabeth (Tanner) Starcher in Nebo, West Virginia. He grew up working on the family farm. He married Maxine Eagle on November 29, 1950, and was a devoted husband for more than 63 years. After they moved to Ohio in the winter of 1950, Roscoe worked for the Ford Motor Company in Brookpark, Ohio until his retirement. Roscoe enjoyed working in his garden, working at Bauman Orchard in Rittman, Ohio, and watching the Cleveland Indians. In recent years, he delighted in his great-grandchildren.
Roscoe was a founding member of the Advent Christian Church of Seville, Ohio where he served in many capacities. Above all else, he was faithful to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to help wherever he was needed.
Roscoe is survived by his loving wife, Maxine; daughter Norma (Gary) Fath of West Salem; grandchildren Amy (Ron) Hamilton of Wooster, Kelly (Jordan) Beebe of Dover, Kevin (Linnae) Fath of Arlington, Virginia, Becky (Dan) Miller of Wooster; great-grandchildren Ethan and Noah Hamilton and Adalyn Beebe; and sister Hilda Douglas of Wadsworth.
Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth, brothers Orville, Andrew, James, Harland, Denver, Shirl, French, Corbert, and Dennis; and sisters Myrtle, Floretta, Ivy, Rouie, Madge, Gladys, and Elsie.
