Maysel – To several she was “Mom,” “Mommy,” or “Momma.” To many she was “Grandmother” or, “Maw Maw,” and she was cherished by all who knew her. Beulah Hamrick, 85, of Maysel, WV, joined our Father in Heaven on July 11, 2014. On that afternoon, her family gathered round her in prayer and singing. Beulah loved music, and with the last sound of “Amazing Grace,” she gave a bright and jovial smile as her days on Earth were fulfilled and her earthly pain ended.
Throughout Beulah’s life, she walked with God. As long as she was able, she regularly attended both Maysel Missionary Baptist Church in Maysel and Unity Gospel Tabernacle in Stinson. She was a retired cook of Clay County Schools and also a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of VFW Post #4419.
Beulah will be greeted in Heaven by her husband, Rev. Jack Wallace Hamrick, her grandson Matthew Hamrick, her parents Howard and Florina Paxton, and several brothers, sisters, and friends.
Her children and their spouses: Janet and Bobby Williams, Randal and Jamie Hamrick, Ronnie Hamrick, Allen and Michelle Hamrick, Geoff and Anissa Hamrick, and Carmela and Greg Smith are left to carry on Beulah’s magnificent legacy. In addition, her legacy will be remembered and exemplified by her many grandchildren: Geoffrey Williams, Celestial and Sean McCarty, Marc Hamrick, Rachel Hamrick, Jacob and Stephanie Hamrick, Jeremy and April Hamrick, Tabitha and Greg Streable, Lucas Hamrick, Mason and Rebecca Hamrick, Grayson Hamrick, her great-grandchildren: Anna Williams, Bradley Williams, Alex Williams, Seth Williams, Holly and Josh Hall, Zach Williams, Sharaiah McCarty, Nicholas McCarty, Jonathan Hamrick, Alexandria Hamrick, Cassandra Hamrick, Jaicah Hamrick, Mathiah Hamrick, Raeah Hamrick, Charlotte Hamrick (soon to arrive), and her great-great-grandson Karsen Hall
Beulah will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her life and works will be celebrated by all of those that she leaves behind.
