The West Virginia State Auditor’s Office is pleased to announce that Marshall and Mingo counties have joined the WV Checkbook, reinforcing their commitments to government transparency and public accountability.
The WV Checkbook enables residents of Marshall and Mingo counties to access real-time information about county revenues, expenditures, and budgets through an intuitive online dashboard.
“Marshall and Mingo are leading the way in open government,” said Mark Hunt, State Auditor. “By joining the Checkbook, they’re giving citizens direct access to how public funds are managed, which builds trust with the community.
“The Checkbook also simplifies financial reporting for counties and strengthens communication with residents,” Hunt continued. “Marshall and Mingo are setting a new standard for transparency across West Virginia.”
With the Checkbook, both counties make it easier for taxpayers to see where funds go and promote responsible governance. The WV Checkbook is publicly available at www.wvcheckbook.gov.
