Attendance awards announced for the fifth school month

Attendance soared during the fifth school month; each school had an excellent average daily rate. Big Otter Elementary led the county with a 96.28%, followed by Clay County High School with a 95.51%. Clay Middle School was third at 95.04% and Clay Elementary School had a 94.49%.

Shawn Krajeski’s students at Clay County High School continued to have the best classroom attendance in the county with a 98.52%. Second was Anissa Collins’ kindergarten students at Big Otter Elementary with a 98.15%. Allison Vaughan’s students at Clay Elementary School were third with a 98.13%, followed by Catherine Vaillancourt’s students at Clay Middle School with a 97.22%.

The runner-up students also had excellent scores: Caitlyn Holcomb’s first grade students at Big Otter Elementary at 98.12%, John Brown’s students at Clay County High School studying electricity at 96.25%, Doug Wayne’s band students at Clay Middle School at 96.11% and Hannah Hannah’s first grade students at Clay Elementary at 95.52%.

Good attendance leads to good grades, good behavior and great success! Congratulations to students throughout all the Clay County Schools. Attendance matters!
