Lizemores, WV – Philip Morton, 64, of Lizemores, entered into rest Friday, August 2, 2013.
Born December 6, 1948 in Montgomery, he was the son, of Kathleen Basye of Lizemores and the late Clarence Sherman Morton.  In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his wife Karen Morton and grand-daughter Caithlyn McKenna Morton
He was an Army veteran and a self-employed welder.
In addition to his mother, Philip is survived by his son, Randolph and (Kimberly) Morton of Lizemores, daughter Katie Morton of Lizemores, grandchildren, Caleb, Bethany, James Logan, Owen and Evan, brother, Randolph and (Kimberly) Morton of Elyria, OH and sister-in-law Sharon Morton Elyria, OH.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Lizemores United Methodist Church, Lizemores with Rev. Charlie Knight officiating.  Burial will be in the Morton Family Cemetery, Lizemores, with VA Military Rites.
Friends and family may call from noon to service time. A special thanks to Terry Baker and Tim Brown. The Morton Family is eternally grateful.
