The Tamarack Foundation for the Arts is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $35,000. This grant will support the Creative Entrepreneur Fellowship. The NEA will award 1,127 Grants for Arts Projects awards nationwide totaling more than $31.8 million as part of the recent announcement of fiscal year 2025 grants.
“The NEA is proud to continue our nearly 60 years of supporting the efforts of organizations and artists that help to shape our country’s vibrant arts sector and communities of all types across our nation,” said NEA Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “It is inspiring to see the wide range of creative projects taking place, including the Creative Entrepreneur Fellowship.”
“We are thrilled to receive support for TFA’s Creative Entrepreneur Fellow program, which empowers artists to thrive in the place they call home, enriches communities across the state, and aids in the diversification of West Virginia’s economy.” Renee Margocee, Executive Director of Tamarack Foundation for the Arts.
The Tamarack Foundation for the Arts’ Creative Entrepreneur Fellowship (CEF) supports West Virginia artists who demonstrate exceptional skill and the potential to lead thriving creative businesses. Each year, chosen fellows are awarded $2,500 and gain access to professional development opportunities, including training in financial literacy, marketing, networking, and business sustainability. Fellows also create new artwork for a group exhibition in Charleston, WV, increasing their market visibility. For more details, visit tamarackfoundation.org/cef
