They say to enjoy every moment as if it was your last. This may be impossible to do because moments tend to go by so fast that they are gone before you know it. This being said, there are thirteen years of regular school, four years of undergraduate school and life beyond. At the time, it seems to take forever, and you just can’t wait until it is over. Then you blink, and it is. For some people it is a bitter sweet moment that fades like the wind. For others it is the opportunity for them to let their light shine in the world in service to the people. Two local graduates, Lucas Hamrick and Tiffany Thorne, walked across the stage and accepted their diplomas this past weekend at the University of Charleston. Both graduated with honors and will move on to additional study and even bigger opportunities. These two, along with 278 others from the University of Charleston, got a treat and were able to listen to one of the greatest orators in US history, , Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States. Not only was he great in the 1800’s, but he still is pretty awesome today. Of course, he was a stand in for the original, but truly delivered an inspiring commencement address. Congratulations to Lucas and Tiffany and to all the local college graduates this year.
