Judge not that ye be judged, for with what judgment ye judge ye shall be judged and with what measure to again. Matthew 7:1-2, Thou shall not raise a false report; put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. Exodus 23:1. Be not a false witness against thy neighbor. Exodus 20:16, refers to lying gossip and slander. Be not an unrighteous witness. The poor is hated even of his own neighbor but the right hath many friends. Proverbs 14:20 Be not influenced by the wealthy to make an unfair decision against a poor man. Exodus 23:3. Have no respect of persons rich or poor, judge not.
It is amazing how we find ways to judge one another. We set standards for all acceptability and draw lines defining what is good enough and what isn’t. We categorize people and force them into folds. This is wrong. We do our neighbor an in justice when we judge him. We are children of God and it is our purpose to see the face of Christ in all our brothers and sisters. When we treat another person as an inferior it is as we were doing it to Christ. Jesus taught us to love all people regardless of all their status. We are to accept everyone just as they are. When we learn to do that we begin to love our neighbors as God loves us. When we reach out to help others in need we are displaying the love of Christ which is at home within our hearts. When we refuse to show kindness to our neighbors we are showing that Christ has no part in us.
In today’s and age with things going on in our world we must all draw closer to our Lord for he is the only hope left. The only thing you can really control in this life is your own mental attitude. As a Christian I have an endless hope, not a hopeless end. Remember to enjoy the little things. One day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
