bakerDixie, WV – Ruth A. Baker, 83, of Dixie, entered into rest August 14, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House.
Born on December 14, 1929, in Mammoth, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Pearl Hurley.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church, Belva.
Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Darrell Baker of Dixie; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Gerri Baker of Martinsburg, John Baker of Pinch and Dwight and Connie Baker of Gauley Bridge; grandchildren, Chad (Carol) Baker of Georgetown, KY, Charity (Andrew) Osborne of Kimberly and Kristi (Flo) Frank of Germany; nephew, Gary Wayne Elders of Charleston; nieces, Ramona Wyatt of Dunbar, Sandra Kay Taylor of Clendenin and Deborah Stewart of Berkeley Springs; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was 11 am, Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Pennington Funeral Home with the Reverend Lee Swor and the Reverend James Waldeck officiating.  Burial followed in Montgomery Memorial Park in London.
