Last week, hotel owner, operator, and development firm Hotel Equities and affiliate Coakley and Williams announced the Grand Opening of Elk River Hotel & Café in Sutton.
Hotel owner, KJ Singh, recently completed a full renovation of the historic property originally built in 1898. The hotel is managed by Hotel Equities. Elk River Hotel & Café spans 2.5 acres of the Elk River, where in addition to the boutique, estate hotel, will feature ten glamping-style domes along with one large event dome to host intimate weddings, corporate meetings, or distinguished events.
Formerly known as the Café Cimino, the new owner purchased the property in May of 2021 and performed a complete renovation to the historic home and renamed it the Elk River Hotel & Café.
“The Elk River Hotel & Café is the first of many planned ‘glamp-out’ resorts,” said Singh. “We are in the process of purchasing like-kind historic properties in rustic, urban destinations where tourists can step into nature for truly unique and unforgettable travel experiences.”
Elk River Hotel & Café features 15 luxuriously decorated guest rooms, divided between the Main House, the Carriage House and a separate area for suites, including an apartment style deluxe guest room within the Estate House, four guest rooms, one apartment located in the adjacent Carriage House and two two-bedroom suites.
The Estate House features beautifully restored natural gas fireplaces adding a warm ambiance for guests as they dine in one of three dining rooms where currently the Café features an upscale vegetarian menu with an exquisite variety of appetizers, main dishes and scrumptious desserts. The beautiful outdoor kitchen and bar is exquisitely set for guests to enjoy the scenic views of Elk River.

Hotel Equities manages the fully renovated historic property; provides guests a boutique experience where stunning nature meets luxurious service.

While Elk River Hotel & Café is now open, the glamping domes will be available early next year, so a grand opening will be scheduled for spring of 2022.
