One of thirty-eight counties, Clay County schools were closed Monday due to a winter storm passing through the area. Monday morning temperatures plummeted quickly, making for extremely slick travel when paired with the falling snow. Several car accidents were reported across the county, none with major injuries. A winter storm warning was in effect throughout the entire day as Mother Nature dumped several inches of snow onto the area.
