Connie Sue Neal, 65, of Duck passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Mon General Hospital.

She was born December 20, 1955 in Gassaway to the late John Harley Hively and Iva Lue Cain Hively.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hively.

Connie was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed her family being around her.  She was a kind hearted person who had a great work ethic.  Connie enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking.  In her spare time she loved to do genealogy for her family.  Her favorite soap operas were Days of Our Lives and General Hospital.  She was a Christian by faith and dedicated her life to the Lord on April 7, 2007.

She will be forever remembered by her husband of 48 wonderful years, Bob Neal; daughters, Rena Beckett and husband, RC, of Duck; Wendy Helton and husband, Darrin, of Hope Mills, NC and Pamela Neal and fiancé, Robert Bishop, of Weston; brothers, Larry and Duke Hively; sisters, Lavetta Mullins and Betty Teel; grandchildren, Jessica Beckett, Jacob Beckett, and Derrick Beckett, Darius Helton, Sierra Helton and Dominick Helton, Tyler Connor, Logan Connor, Colton Connor, and Keira Hoke.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Connie’s wishes she was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
