Sterling “Stub” Alonzo Adkins

Sterling “Stub” Alonzo Adkins, 89, entered into rest on January 12, 2021 at his home in Dog Run, Clay, WV.

He was born on September 15, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents James “Eddie” Adkins and Ruth Adkins, six brothers, and four sisters.

Stub was married to his wife, Waunita Faye Adkins, for 69 years. Together they built a wonderful life and family. He is survived by his son, Steve (Sharon) Adkins, of Dog Run; daughters, Drema (Dale) McKinney of Dog Run, Valerie Adkins of Dog Run, Sonya (Aaron) Williams of Wallback, and son Bradley (Rebecca) Adkins of Dog Run. He had 11 grandkids, 23 great-grandkids, and 6 great-great grandkids that adored him.

A graveside service was held at the Adkins’ Cemetery on Thursday, January 14 at 4 o’clock.
