Raising a family, running a busines, and trying to keep the balance between work and family can be a difficult task. Shay Edgar, Owner of Shay’s Southern Chic Boutique in Clay, announced she was closing her doors this past week.
Shay released the following statement regarding her closing:
“It is with a broken heart that we decided to close down our store front. Although the support from the community is absolutely amazing and the continued support is even more heartwarming. My boutique originally started online with nearly 4000 followersall across the United States. With the large following online, we struggled to keep up with the store front as well. The room was not there to make all the handmade items to ship and keep in the store, so living in Maysel, We have decided to have a ‘She Shed’ type building built to have more workshop space.”
This change will allow Shay to still provide items to the Clay area and show her support to all the local organizations.
Shay says, “From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who has showed me so much love in the past few months. I can’t wait to have my new workshop ready so I can jump back into doing what I love. This town is truly amazing, and I am excited to see the future for all the new businesses taking a leap to bring something different to our little town.”
