Members of the Clay County Commission, the Clay PSD and several of the county’s elected officials traveled to Charleston this week to accept a $1.5 million Small Cities Block Grant from Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. This funding will be used to create an extension of the Pack Fork-Independence Road Water Line Project in the Southern end of Clay County. Through this project, Clay PSD will be able to provide 136 homes along Pack Fork and Independence Road with safe and reliable water service. The $2.9 million project will take several years to complete.
