Kline Arris Legg, 82, formerly of Clay, passed away on April 15, 2020. Born in Indore, WV on July 19, 1937, he last resided in Mission, KS.

He graduated from Clay County High School in 1955. A talented athlete, he lettered in football and basketball and was on the American Legion baseball team that won at least one state championship. He attended college at Akron Bible Institute and Baptist Bible College (BBC) in Springfield, MO. While at BBC he met his future wife of 55 years and was on the basketball team.

He joined the Air Force right out of high school and was an ordained minister. He resided in Great Bend, KS for more than 40 years and at various times also lived in Ohio, Missouri, Iowa and Colorado. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mission, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Donnie (nee Reedy) and his brother Alton. Surviving him are his sister Jo Ann Reed of Bolivar, OH, wife Connie (nee Wilson) of Mission, KS and his children and their families: Sondra Bever (Scott) of Topeka, KS; Becky Polson (Keith and Dylan) of Merriam, KS; Kevin Legg (Suzie, Taylor and Peyton) of Mission, KS; and Michael Legg (Sindi and Natalie) of Merriam, KS.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
